Natural Tendencies

Nature has always been a great source of comfort for me. It is a place to escape the reality, the monotony, the incessant repetition of everyday life. Thus, the natural world has had a vast impact on my life as a whole, and has served as an unending fount of inspiration for my artistic practices. Colors, forms, shapes, textures, patterns - the natural world is full of endless possibilities as it is alive and always changing.

This series of work explores natural forms, especially those from my garden, in a stylized and abstracted way. Form and color are stylized and glorified, while maintaining the integrity of the original natural element as a means of celebration of their beauty.
